Bundle your coverage and save

Our Farm Enhanced Coverage Endorsement provides you with 37 farm-related coverage options offering increased coverage at a package price. If individually purchased, this coverage would cost much more.

This endorsement provides coverages for additional exposures in one endorsement. Farm Structure coverage must be purchased for this endorsement to apply.

This endorsement is not available on vacant farms without prior underwriting approval. This rider may not be extended to other farm policies.

Solar panel installations

Solar equipment installations are subject to a number of issues, including weather damage. Let us take the worry out of your solar panel setup with insurance specifically designed to cover solar panels and related equipment. We even cover installations by third parties that are renting your rooftop to produce power. Give your local financial representative a call to find out more.

Ask us about extra coverage options

We cover your farm for most incidents with extra coverage that you can add on to your policy, including:

  • Replacement Cost Guarantee for farm dwellings
  • Comprehensive Water for farm dwellings and personal property
  • Equipment Breakdown
  • Replacement off site for farm structures

Identifying common hazards

Farms can be dangerous places with many different hazards that can escape your notice. Reduce the risk of injuries on your farm.

The first step in preventing injuries is to become aware of the potential hazards. Common hazards on farms include2:

  • Chemical hazards, like pesticides, solvents and fumes from manure tanks
  • Biological hazards, like bacteria, viruses, dust and mould
  • Physical hazards, like electricity, heat, light, noise and radiation
  • Confined spaces and heights
  • Heavy machinery
  • Animals becoming dangerous
  • Heavy work involving lifting and moving heavy loads
  • Workplace stress like shift work, harassment, heavy workload
  • Working alone, in isolated areas or in extreme weather.

Once you’ve identified the potential hazards in your daily and seasonal farm practices, assess the likelihood and severity of injury for each hazard. Then make changes, with a special focusing on hazards that have a high likelihood of happening or a high severity if they happen.
